The idea of coming up with Small Homes begun in the early 1980 when Catholic Diocese of Eldoret was still under the Apostolate of Kisumu. During this period, polio disease was rampant. Learning facilities for children that physically challenged were not existence. There was need therefore to cater for these children.

- Joseph’s Small Home – Kipsaina (Elgeyo Marakwet County)
- John’s Small Home – Kobil (Elgeyo Marakwet County)
- Nerkwo Small Home (Elgeyo Marakwet County)
- Chebororwo Small Home (Elgeyo Marakwet County)
- Paul Small Home – Chesongoch (Elgeyo Marakwet County)
- Anne Small Home – Matunda (Uasin Gishu County)
- Augustine Small Home – Tachasis (Nandi County)
- Kobujoi Small Home – under the St. Franciscan sisters (Nandi County)
Special Schools:
These are government led public schools that we as Catholic Diocese of Eldoret partner with to offer spiritual support and mentor the children (learners) there. These are schools for mentally challenged, hearing impaired among other forms of disabilities.
