Parishes serve as Centres for fostering evangelization and the pastoral care of the faithful. These are communities of the Christian faithful stably constituted in a particular Church, whose pastoral care is entrusted to a Parish Priest as its proper pastor under the authority of the Diocesan Bishop. A parish community is established to carry out the threefold Mission of Christ. Each parish has an elected Parish Council composed of the lay faithful, clergy and religious who work jointly and collaboratively in the promotion of evangelization and integral development within the parishes.
